Dieter Otto French Horns

In the family tradition, Dieter Otto began his apprenticeship as an instrument builder at the age of 14. His grandfather and father had their own company, manufacturing accessories for brass instruments. After beginning his apprenticeship, Dieter was encouraged to learn the horn, thus discovering his love for this instrument. He worked three years for the company "Musikhaus Barth” in Stuttgart, where he got his master craftsman diploma. Subsequently Dieter Otto was employed until 1967 by the renowned company "Hirsbrunner - Sumiswald”, Switzerland, before he opened his own firm in Neumakt-St. Veit in 1969.
